What is Abraş?

2. Colors: Dark tones are generally preferred in Seljuk carpets. Burgundy, navy blue, dark green and earth tones are often used. Paints are obtained from natural root and plant extracts, which gives carpets resistance to time.

3. Material and Technique: Seljuk carpets are usually woven from wool yarn. Turkish node (symmetrical knot) was used as weaving technique.
